At Metal Solutions, we’re passionate about what we build. We’re a full-service general contractor and our speciality has and always will be: high-quality, metal buildings that are functional, durable and beautiful.
Over the last 15+ years, we’ve built hundreds of commercial and residential buildings across the Permian Basin — and we’ve seen firsthand why they’re the superior option for so many projects.
Here’s why more and more businesses are choosing metal buildings — and why we think you should too.
“Metal Building” Doesn’t Mean “Low Quality”
When some folks hear “metal building,” they picture a rusty old barn in the country, cheaply built with a tin roof and rusted siding.
That couldn’t be further from the truth of what we build.
The structures we build are engineered, attractive, long-lasting and used by some of the most successful business owners in the region. In fact, many of our clients in Midland and Odessa are running multi-million-dollar operations. These are people who could afford to build with anything, but still chose steel.
Why? Because metal buildings offer high performance, low maintenance, and unmatched value in our environment. Not to mention they are affordable and can withstand the volatile weather of our area, too.
If they were cheap and flimsy, no one would rely on them to house major operations, protect critical assets, or serve their customers. But they do. Because they work.

Time Is Money — And Metal Saves Time
One of the biggest reasons our clients choose metal buildings? Speed.
We can often complete a full project, from foundation to final walkthrough, in just four to six weeks. That’s not just fast; that’s game-changing for businesses trying to scale, relocate, or meet demand.
Traditional construction timelines can stretch for months, even on a simple structure. That downtime costs you — in rent, in opportunity, and in delays to your growth.
With Metal Solutions, you get both speed and quality. We’ve invested in the systems, people, and partners to keep projects moving — even when the economy, oil prices, or weather get unpredictable.
And the data backs it up: the longer a project drags on, the more it costs. That’s not just our opinion — that’s a proven industry reality.
Built to Withstand West Texas Weather
Speaking of unpredictable weather. Everyone in West Texas has seen their fair share of tornadoes, hail and dust storms, high winds and blistering heat. Destructive weather is not a stranger to us locals.
Our Co-Founder and Vice President, Stormy, grew up in Wink, Texas—a small town that’s no stranger to these kinds of storms. She’s seen firsthand what can happen when buildings aren’t built to endure the Texas environment. That’s a big part of why we do what we do the way we do it.
That’s why durability matters here more than just about anywhere. It’s a non-negotiable.

Metal buildings are engineered to stand strong when the weather does its worst. Hail that can tear through shingle roofs or dent siding doesn’t do much to our steel-roofed structures. And when it comes to high winds or even tornado threats, we don’t mess around. Our buildings are framed with I-beams—the same kind of steel used in skyscrapers and suspension bridges (like Golden Gate). If you want real peace of mind, this is where it starts.
Even in “little ole’ Wink,” you deserve the same protection as folks in Midland or Odessa—and our buildings provide it. For a fraction of the cost of other traditional structures, too.
Whether you’re protecting valuable assets, running a growing business, or just trying to sleep better at night during spring storm season, a metal building just makes sense to protect your assets, reduce insurance claims, and avoid costly repairs year after year.
Dollar for dollar, we don’t think anything beats it.

Local Steel. Local Speed.
There’s a huge advantage to working with Metal Solutions that most contractors don’t have.. We aren’t just a builder, we also have direct access to our own local steel supplier with our sister company, Bulldog Steel.
This gives us speed and supply chain control that most other contractors can’t touch. We don’t wait on a truck from Dallas. We just go next door.
This is how we keep projects on schedule and costs predictable. It’s also how we’ve been able to ship components across the country to clients who want the same speed and quality material we offer without being local.
You can think of our approach like custom prefab — built for your exact specs, but delivered with the efficiency of a well-oiled machine.
And with exclusive partnerships like our NUCOR “Buildership” with American Buildings, we have access to top-tier engineering systems and innovations most local builders don’t.

Big Capabilities. Small Town Values.
When we started this journey in 2009, we were a small but mighty team in Big Spring, TX just trying to build better buildings.
Tyler and Stormy initially had other life plans, but the customers of their burgeoning business were blown away by the attention to detail, work ethic, and speed.
Before long, we were putting metal buildings in places a bit farther afield, like Odessa and became general contractors in Midland on some huge commercial projects.
We even built residential barndominiums.
While bigger communities meant bigger projects, in our hearts, we remained the little contractor that could from Coahoma – our small town values remained even as our capabilities grew.
Fifteen years later, we’ve delivered everything from backyard shops to multi-million-dollar commercial builds. But no matter how big the project, our approach hasn’t changed: treat every build like it matters. Because it does.
We’re not a big-box builder. We don’t cut corners. And we’re not just here for the easy wins. We’re here for the long haul for our community, our customers, and the future we’re building together.
We’d be honored to partner with you on your next build. Give us a call or stop by the shop to meet our team and see first-hand the passion, commitment and dedication we have to building with excellence.
